If you’ve ever wondered what a day in the life of a Web Designer in London looks like, here’s a little slice of it—minus the hours I spent trying to pick the perfect shirt that says “I’m creative but I also turn up to meetings on time.”

This week, I headed to Waterloo for a meeting with a potential client - a brilliant green hosting company based in London doing some genuinely exciting stuff. And no, not just exciting in a “look at our sustainability badge” way, but actual planet-helping, tree-hugging (in a good way) kind of exciting. They’re looking for a designer to take care of their client websites and branding projects while they focus on hosting… and somehow, I’ve made the shortlist!

We met at Grind in Waterloo...the kind of place where the lattes are smooth, the lighting’s flattering, and the bar stools make you question your posture. I got there a bit early (yes, miracles do happen), grabbed a coffee, and prepped a few bits to show them what I could bring to the table. Mostly design magic. Powered by caffeine, obviously.

The meeting itself? Great vibes, good people, and lots of promising ideas bouncing around. It’s always a win when you walk away from a chat feeling energised Safe to say, I’m buzzing about the possibility of working together.

📍Spotted the London Eye on the way out, because what’s a client meeting in central London without a little tourist moment? (Also, candid photos = SEO gold. You’re welcome, algorithm.)

So if you’re also looking for a web designer in London who brings a mix of solid strategy, bold design, and a no-nonsense approach to design that doesn’t involve 47 moodboards - drop me a message.
